Speculation

Mordecai mentions how Carl's Desperado Pass Tattoo prevents any class choices that are Paladin or Cleric based. ^[1] Lucia Mar has access to the Desperado Club on the Third Floor, so either she gets access between class selection and first entry or this is a continuity error.
