Compensated Anarchist Class

“Holy shit. That seems like a winner,” I said. “This one has a ton of stuff attached to it. Though ‘Compensated Anarchist’ is kind of an oxymoron. I guess that’s the point.”[1]

Compensated Anarchist is a unique monk/rogue class offered on the Third Floor.[2]

AI Description

Compensated Anarchist

This rare and exclusive class is only available to crawlers who have obtained Level five in the Explosives Handling Skill and have received at least 500 Billion views by the time they’ve reached the third floor.

When the oligarchs want to manufacture a social movement, or better yet, stop one in its tracks, they must first bring in the big guns. The paid protestors. The Agent Provocateur. This Monk/Rogue hybrid class is a trapmaking, bomb-making, social-media dynamo. The Compensated Anarchist will happily throw a Molotov through a window one moment and step in front of a camera to plead for the violence to stop the next. Experts in hand-to-hand and dirty tactics, the Compensated Anarchist only suffers when it comes to more traditional fighting techniques.

This is an Earth Class. As an incentive to choose an Earth Class, you will receive a Silver Earth Box upon choosing this class.

Compensated Anarchists must choose a subclass upon descent to the sixth floor.[3]

Story

Book 2

Although Carl has 650 possible classes to choose from, the System AI makes three recommendations based on his skills: Bomb Squad Tech Class, Compensated Anarchist Class, and Prizefighter Class.[2] Carl is the only crawler to pick the Compensated Anarchist class in this season of Dungeon Crawler World.[4]

Mordecai notes that classes with view count minimums are generally better than classes without them, as they're designed to "give the more popular players a boost," and the Compensated Anarchist seems specially tailored for Carl. Mordecai goes on to (accurately) predict that the sixth floor specialization will likely push Carl to specialize in either bombs, traps, or hand-to-hand combat.[2]

Compensated Anarchist has a minimum Charisma requirement of (25) and a minimum Dexterity of (10). Carl must immediately dump (17) of his (36) available stat points into Charisma and (6) into Dexterity, leaving only (13) stat points to distribute after. He will also do less damage with bladed weapons (were he to use them anyway), and must spend 25% more mana to cast spells that deal damage.[2]

Zev mentions that no one else choose this class. [4]
