The Desperado Club is one of two Dungeon-based clubs that crawlers can gain membership to. Typically a crawler can either have access to the Desperado Club or Club Vanquisher, as the types of people with access are mutually exclusive. Its logo is a stylized knife dripping blood, and its tagline is, "So fun it hurts."[2]
Description
The Desperado club is found in most settlement locations and is located at any transfer station ending in a 1 on the Iron Tangle. [3] The exterior of the building in settlements will sometimes look like it's from the 1920's New York City, similar to the Empire State Building. [4]

Layout
The Desperado Club has three main floors that descend down into the club. Each of the floors opens to Crawlers when they reach the Third Floor, Sixth Floor, and Ninth Floor respectively. Crawlers enter the floor on the First Floor.
First Floor
- Entrance to the club - general pub, exclusive to the specific town. No Desperado Pass Tattoo needed.
- Pet Room:
- Main Room - a nightclub with a dance floor and a bar, people are in the same room as everyone in all club locations. The main club is not a safe room, and crawlers can be hurt in it. The club uses NPC bots to fill the room with 200 people at all times, backfilling when there are not enough actual crawlers to fill the space. [3]
- Casino: First Floor of the Casino
- Bitches - female strip club and brothel
- Penis Parade - male strip club and brothel
- Silk Road - Market on that includes Hobgobs and Boom Sticks store.
- Guild Hallway: Hallway with access to several guilds such as Lockpicking, Sleight of Hand, and Dodge Skill

- Guild-O-Rama - rogue-themed guild rooms, including explosives guild

When inside the Desperado Club, a crawler can wave their hand in a circle to create a privacy bubble and dim the music.
Backfill NPCs
Private Security
Starting on the Fourth Floor, the Desperado club starts offering private security for 300 gold per crawler, 400 gold fr a pair per visit, though if a crawler spends more than that at the tables than the next security will be free. For most crawlers it's a rip off, but for crawlers on the Leaderboard it might make sense. The security consists of two bodyguards who will accompany the crawler anywhere in the club. [7]

Story
Book 3
Imani meets Bautista in the Desperado club on the Iron Tangle and has him send a message to Carl to meet up at the club after the Recap Episode to talk about Chris Andrews and Brandon Andrews' death. [3]
First Visit
Carl and Donut head to the Desperado Club at Station 181 on the Yellow Line. At the front door Clarabelle offers them private security while in the club for 500 gold due to the fact they both have bounties on their heads from being on the Leaderboard. They agree, and get Bomo and the Sledge for bodyguards. [7]While at the club, Carl and Donut meet up with Elle (who has Clay-ton as a bodyguard). Donut goes to dance on Sledge's shoulder while Imani talks to Carl. Ji-Hoon and an accomplice attack Donut and the body guards, but Donut defends herself and kills Ji-Hoon, earning herself her first Player Killer Skull. Elle takes out the accomplice, earning herself one as well.[7]
Astrid comes out to apologize on behalf of management for the attack. The Desperado doesn't guarantee anyone's safety but as soon as someone hires security that changes. She offers to refund 400 gold (not the 500 Clarabelle charged them) and complimentary security every time they come. Carl agrees, and also asks to always have Bomo and the Sledge as their personal bodyguards. [7]
While in the Casino, Carl asks about the "Larracos" level where it sounds like there is a lot of laughter. The guard comments that the Desperado club is where the factions come to have fun and unwind while waiting for Faction Wars (game). Carl plays the Wheel of Fortune game in the Casino. [8]
Second Visit
Carl and Donut come back to the Desperado club at station 283 while waiting to board the Nightmare Express, but most of the crew couldn't make it so they keep the visit short. The Sledge casts a magic Shield Spell around the two crawlers, something he paid for with his own money. Donut visits the Dodge Skill guild now that she's level 7. She does the free first session that raises the skill to 8. Carl gets all the Crawlers in the room in his Chat to help start spreading knowledge around, gaining about 22 new names. [9]
Third Visit
Bomo purchased a physical Shield Spell to protect against physical attacks and casts it with Sledge's magical shield spell to protect Carl and Donut. They only find 10 crawlers to add to chat so Donut suggests checking out the Bitches and Penis Parade strip Clubs. Carl sees Frank Q sitting at the bar and sends Donut to go check out the clubs while he chats with him. [10] Shortly after Carl and Donut leave, Chris Andrews talks to Frank Q and then kills him. Chris is banned from the club. [11]
Katia gets her Desperado Pass Tattoo for killing Hekla. [12]

The Desperado Club is generally closed to Crawlers as it undergoes new management; however, Orren uses his office as needed.
