At every major intersection of the dungeon is a concealed map legend that intelligent and wandering mobs can utilize. It gives a very general overview of what’s in every direction. [1]
Escape Plan Skill is a skill that allows a crawler to more easily find hidden doors and paths. It's also an essential skill for using the Dungeon Anarchist's Cookbook (Book). [2]
Description
This skill allows for a crawler to more readily find hidden doors. It also has a hidden benefit that Mordecai was only allowed to explain to Carl due to Donut's Manager Benefit. It allows access to the Dungeon Locator, a concealed map at major intersections of the dungeon that gives a general overview of what's in every direction. It could point to exits and bosses. [1]
Looking at a Dungeon Map physical indicator allows a crawler to select a tooltip that enlarges a holographic markers. These are shown in kilometers. [3]
The skill only works if one knows where the hidden maps are ahead of time. [4]
Story
Book 2
Carl chooses the Compensated Anarchist Class which gives a +5 to the Escape Plan Skill.[1] At the first settlement Mordecai points to a rock that indicates to Carl to focus on the rock. Carl looks at it, selects the tooltip that pops up and a holographic waypoint grows out of the rock that points to several settlements, including a "Medium Sized Skyfowl Settlement." [3]
Book 3
On the train on entry to the Fourth Floor, Carl notes that the skill can't find any directions or maps if you didn't know where the hidden maps were ahead of time. [4]
On the Platform to Transfer Station #83, Carl reads a sign noting when trains appear. He gains the additional information that trains only move up the line, and that saferooms appear at all transfer stations. Mordecai notes that the only reason Carl can see the Control Sigil on the floor of the Cornets station is due to his escape plan skill. [5]
When Carl chooses the Dungeon Anarchist's Cookbook (Item) from the Prize Carousel, the public sees that he got a recipe book for chicken and goblin recipes. But when he reads the book his Escape Plan Skill activates and allows him to see the hidden text. [2]
At Station 24 Carl notices that the door to the Stairwell room looked like a rock and made him wonder why his Escape Plan Skill isn't working well. He resolves to ask Mordecai when he's out of suspension. [6]
Carl's Escape Plan Skill notifies him that the Portal at station 75 connects to a Train yard. It does not give further information. [7]
