Goblin Pass Tattoo

The Goblin Pass is a goblin skull tattoo that marks the bearer as a friend of the goblins. It is safe to assume that any crawler might receive this tattoo the first time they cause an explosion worthy of a Goblin Box.

AI Description

It’s a tattoo! On your forearm! Now you’ll never get a good job!

Note: Pass tattoos cannot be hidden unless you purchase a coverup sleeve. Will show through any armor you may wear.

Removes automatic goblin hostility. Allows for free passage through goblin-controlled territory in the dungeon.

Warning: holding a Goblin Pass will cause natural goblin enemies, such as fairy-class creatures, to deal 20% more damage against you. Still, it looks kinda badass.[1]

Natural Goblin Enemies

When encountering creatures considered "natural goblin enemies," the AI is kind enough to include a warning in the initial summary. The text changes to specify whether the hostile entity is a mob or an NPC.

WARNING: This is a fairy-class mob. Mobs of this class inflict 20% more damage against you due to your goblin pass.[2]

Story

Book 1

Carl receives the Goblin Pass in a Silver Goblin Box for the Boom! achievement within one hour of entering the first floor, for accidentally causing the Goblin Murder Dozer to detonate from a boiler breach. It takes the form of a goblin skull tattoo on Carl's inner left forearm, branded on both his skin and any clothing covering it (unless covered by a coverup sleeve).[3]

Carl uses the access of the tattoo to talk to the goblin group of Goblins on the First Floor to convince them to build the Goblin Copper Chopper. [4]
