The child of Taranis and Apito, Grull, the god of war, is one of the few trueborn heirs to the Celestial Ascendency. But with an angry streak as long as a horse’s cock, Taranis worries his son may not be the best choice to rule the heavens. Plus his worshippers tend to be donkeys and other equine-themed creatures. It’s a bit unsettling, even to a god.

Description
Grull is a black-skinned, overly-muscular minotaur/centaur like creature, with the torso and head of a bull and the body of a horse. There's a gold ring in his snout. He stands approximately 42 ft (12.8 m) tall and carries a smoking, double-headed axe approximately the size of a passenger jet; the handle appears to be a live oak tree, and the head appears to be made of still-molten metal.[3]
On the Third Floor and below, Grull is worshipped by equine-class mobs. His worshippers tend to smear themselves in blue makeup and talk incessantly about wenches and dying gloriously in battle.[4] One of these mobs are Mantaurs.[5]
Story
Book 1
Carl receives the Enchanted War Gauntlet of the Exalted Grull on the First Floor and asks Mordecai how he can tell if someone worships Grull. Mordecai mentions that equine class mobs will.[4]
Book 3
Carl almost summons Grull when he fights the Mantaur Gore-Gore due to his Enchanted War Gauntlet of the Exalted Grull having a cumulative summoning chance when fighting adherents of Grull. Carl kills Gore-Gore before the summoning completes.[5]
Carl "successfully" summons Grull fighting a Mantaur on the last day of floor 4. Grull is summoned at lvl 250 and battles the floor "Mimic" to kill Carl.
Book 7
As part of the Varg Vikernes Achievement, Carl learns that Grull has marked him as a friend of the church. [6]
