History

Hekla was Eva Sigrid's psychiatrist in Reykjavik prior to the collapse.[3] She was fighting with her husband when the dungeon was formed. Shortly afterwards, he was poisoned by a Walking Cactus and she fled. When she returned, he was being eaten by rats. She gained an achievement for killing one of them with a bone from her husband and was awarded a legendary Grrl Power Box containing an enchanted crossbow. [4]

Story

Book 1

Hekla first appears (though is not named) on the second episode of Dungeon Crawler World: Earth wearing snow gear, a Valkyrie helmet and carrying the Enchanted Repeating Crossbow of the Scavenger Mother of Mothers killing a group of Gnolls. [5] She appears on the second episode as well, one of 5 groups the show focuses on. [6]

Book 2

The first episode of Dungeon Crawler World: Earth on the Third Floor shows various crawlers taking on their new forms. Hekla enters her guild alone, because that's how she entered the dungeon. Her new race is an Amazonian, making her a foot taller and wider. She chooses the Shieldmaiden Class, an Earth Class. [7]

Hekla appears on the show Danger Zone with Ripper Wonton with Carl and Donut in the middle of the Third Floor. She is now level 25. Before the show starts she asks the two of them to meet up with one of the Brynhild's Daughters, Katia Grim, who got separated from her during the move to the Third Floor. Donut immediately agrees, much to Carl's chagrin. [1]

Odette warns Carl that Hekla is going to try to steal Donut from him.

Book 3

SPOILERS FOR BOOK 3

In the first recap episode of the Fourth Floor, Hekla is ranked number 2 and is shown skewering a mass of four-legged rat things with her Enchanted Repeating Crossbow of the Scavenger Mother of Mothers. [8]

When the team goes out to start exploring the tracks, Katia mentions that the Brynhild's Daughters have been farming experience by hitting mobs as the train doors open. Hekla thinks it might be a bug, but Carl points out that it's really more of an inefficient use of time. Hekla mentions that the mobs get off every 5 floors and there is a cave system that probably allows them to migrate in a circle, but hasn't explored it yet. [9]

When Carl and Donut head to the porter car on the Yellow Line, Carl asks Donut if Katia has said anything to her about Hekla. Donut mentions that she asked Katia to ask Hekla what her "awesome ninja kick thing before she pops you in the face with a crossbow" is called and Hekla names it the 'Donut Kick'. Carl warns her not to trust her, but tells her it's due to their bounties from being on the Leaderboard. [10]

Hekla tells Katia about the PVP Coupons that Eva Sigrid received in her Savage Box for getting her first Player Killer Skull. [11]

Hekla meets up with Carl, Donut and Katia Grim in the Royal Palace of Princess Donut. She is there to both bring Katia back to the Daughters, but also to request the Royal Court's assistance in the Vermillion Line Rescue of over 1000 crawlers at station 101. [3]

Taking advantage of the chaos on the way to 101, Hekla covertly attacks and wounds Katia with her Dirty Little Phased Bolt. Donut sees the attack with her glasses and calls out Hekla's treachery, prompting her to confess that she ordered their healer Silfa not to aid Katia. She was planning to lure Carl into attacking Silfa, giving her an excuse to kill him and recruit Princess Donut and her manager Mordecai to Brynhild's Daughters.

Katia awoke confused as accusations were flying. She fought with her friend Eva and used the Rush Skill, intending to kill her. Thrown off kilter, she instead lethally hit Hekla, earning herself a golden Player Killer Skull. [12]Katia takes the magical crossbow from her corpse. [13]
