Cerberus. Heimdall. Aniketos and Alexiares. Qin Shubao. Lev Yashin. Some of the greatest gate guardians of both history and mythology. But none of them, not a one, was as dedicated to their work as Miss Quill.

If she doesn’t want you to see the magistrate, you ain’t seeing the magistrate. [1]

Description

Miss Quill is an elderly female Skyfowl. She has grey feathers and a cracked beak. She tends to glare at people who want to see the Magistrate. Her desk has a perch for her to sit on, and behind it there is a bookshelf of Jaxbrin Amusements, Limited Stuffed Figures. [1] She loves those figurines, with Bautista commenting that there were over 1000 in her apartment. [2]

Her late husband, Remex, was the previous Magistrate. [1]

Story

Book 2

As part of the Sex Workers Who Fell from the Heavens Quest, Carl and Donut head to the administrative building to talk to Magistrate Featherfall. There they find Miss Quill who is outwardly hostile to them and doesn't allow them to see Featherfall. After Carl dumps a dead body on her desk as "evidence", she summons the Village Guard Swordsman to arrest him. Carl had already shown them the body with the Gate Pass so they leave without arresting him. She panics at the sight of her Stuffed Figures getting damaged and begs them to leave. When she turns to clean up the figures, Carl tries the door. [1]

This door is locked. Magically locked. It’s almost like they don’t want you going in there. [1]

When Carl and Donut blow up the administrative building later in the level, they manage to kill Miss Quill. They receive both the Assassin! Achievement for killing a public official and the CockBlock Achievement for preventing Bautista from doing his quest. [3] [2]
