Natives
Natives are survivors of a planetwide collection (i.e. a Transformation) who do not choose to enter the Dungeon and become crawlers.[1] These survivors may "mine and utilize any remaining and naturally-occurring resources," and their implants are scrambled to prevent bounty hunters from collecting them for the Walk-On List, but they will receive no further assistance from the Syndicate.[2][3] Most Natives die shortly after the crawl begins; in fact, the "attrition rate of natives oftentimes mirrored that of the crawl, though on a slower scale."[4]
Due to Syndicate legislation, Aliens cannot approach or interact with Natives until after the crawl.[5] The planet is locked down for multiple generations.[3]
