I looked down at the dead woman. I wondered who she was, why someone like her was outside at 2:30 in the morning on such a night. I’m never going to know her story. Nobody is ever going to know it. I wondered how scared she’d been. Only to be killed by a fellow human. He’d looted her corpse, taking everything, leaving only an apple core. It made me irrationally angry. “In fact, I think you’re right. I want to find him if we can.”[1]
Rebecca W was a crawler from somewhere near Seattle, WA, whose real name was most likely Rebecca Wong.[2][3] The System AI labels her corpse as: Lootable Corpse. Crawler Rebecca W. Level 3. Killed by Crawler Frank Q.[4]
Appearance
Rebecca W was a slight, roughly 30-year-old Asian woman. She had multiple tattoos, including a moth across her chest and a newly inked full-sleeve on her left arm depicting a koi and a crane. She entered the Dungeon somewhere near Seattle, WA, and reached Level 3 before Frank Q killed her with a gunshot wound to the chest. He and Maggie My looted her body and inventory before leaving Rebecca's naked corpse with nothing but an apple core.[2]
Story
Book 1
Roughly one day after entering the Dungeon, Carl and Donut find Rebecca's corpse at the edge of the Hoarder's neighborhood on the First Floor. While Donut talks a big game, attempting to attribute the gunshot wound to cocker spaniels and then boasting that they should hunt down Frank Q, she changes her tune when she realizes that Carl is genuinely considering hunting Frank Q down.[2]
When Carl and Donut finally meet Frank Q, he calls her "Rebecca Wong" and claims she was the leader of a human trafficking ring he and Maggie My were attempting to bust before the transformation. He describes her as "a modern day slave driver." Carl suspects the entire story is most likely fabricated.[3]
This is confirmed when Frank and Maggie appear on Death Watch Extreme Dungeon Mayhem, which shows clips of their time in the dungeon. Frank and Maggie (along with their daughter Yvette) find a large group of crawlers that include Rebecca W. When the group isn't looking, Frank and Maggie gun the group down. Rebecca runs off with Frank chasing her, eventually killing her. [5]
