That's the skewer belle, if you see one, make sure you grab it for me. But always pick it up by the stem. Don't touch the top. Mordecai[1]

Skewer Belle is a mushroom that, upon touching the top, extrudes a spike and causes skin to boil if it pierces you, The spike only activates if you touch the top, therefore it is advised that you should only touch the stem of this mushroom. The Skewer Belle has useful alchemical properties.

Story

Book 5

Carl and Donut are watching a recap episode during which a crawler is seen bending over to be "skewered by a spike that popped out of the fungus, piercing him right in the eye" after which "his skin started boiling." Mordecai informs Carl and Donut that the mushroom is known as a Skewer Belle and that they should avoid touching the top of the mushroom and always pick it up by the stem. Mordecai requests that Carl and Donut bring one to him if they see one.[2]
