Story
Book 2
During the Sex Workers Who Fell from the Heavens Quest, Carl and Donut come across the corpse of GumGum, who has a Mysterious Letter in her inventory. Later that night, they discuss how they are going to get vengeance on whomever killed GumGum. At that moment, a dead protitute is dropped onto the roof of the safe room that are in, with the words "No, you won't" scrawled into her flesh. [1]
Mordecai later works out that the Mysterious Letter has a Suppurating Eye Spell on it, allowing the caster to see and hear what is being said when the letter is out of inventory. Carl and Donut use this fact to lure the caster out of hiding, specifically mentioning the Stuffed Figures behind Miss Quill's desk. [2]
After they blow up the administrative building and start exploring the remains, they come across a bloody room filled with Krasue and the corpse of Magistrate Featherfall. Carl suspects that whomever was running the Mysterious Letter spell also had a Suppurating Eye Spell going on in the room. [3]
