Description

Some pages by their very nature contain spoilers that cannot be hidden behind the {{Spoiler}} template without hiding the entire page. For these cases, users should use this disclaimer. Using templates rather than copy/paste blocks of text allows us to make site-wide changes to wording, page design, and more.

Example

If the core content of the page reveals plot-relevant information from Book 3 or later, place SpoilH at the top of the page. This will look like:

This article contains unmarked spoilers for Book 4.

System Message. Posting Book 8 spoilers will result in "acceleration" per our rules.

Using in Visual Editor

  1. Click on the very top of the editor window, above any text but below the toolbar.
  2. Open the "Template Search Box" by selecting "Insert" > "Template" on the toolbar or typing {{.
  3. Search for and open "SpoilH".
  4. Enter the book number that will be spoiled (in the above example: 4).
  5. Click "Insert."

Syntax

Insert this in the Source Editor at the very top of the page, above any other text, quotes, or infoboxes.

{{SpoilH | Book #}}
"Book#" should be the number of the most recent book spoiled. It does not need to be identified as a parameter.
