EVERYONE IS HAVING A DIFFICULT LIFE RIGHT NOW, KATIA. SHE DOESN’T GET EXTRA CREDIT BECAUSE SHE HAS A STUPID NAME.[1]
Tserendolgor ("Ren") is a crawler from Earth. Despite Donut's constant harassment due to her dog-themed race, Ren becomes a close ally of Meadow Lark and the Royal Court of Princess Donut after fighting beside them on the Fourth Floor.[2]
Description
Born and raised in a small village in Mongolia, Tserendolgor spent most of her teens and twenties working as a runway fashion model in Paris, France.[3] A jealous ex-boyfriend stabbed her and killed her dog, which was trying to protect her. She spent a year recovering in a hospital before retiring to her home village. She entered the Dungeon with a group of people she'd grown up with, including Khulan and Chuluuna. Her team has seven or eight members when she arrives on the Eighth Floor.[4]
After arriving on the Third Floor of the Dungeon, presumably with her trademark enchanted flamethrower " Velma" in hand, Tserendolgor chose the Dog Soldier race and Crisper Class. She works closely with the Royal Court on the fourth, fifth, and sixth floors, and humors Donut's grudge against her because she recognizes Carl's significance.
Appearance
After her Third Floor race change, Tserendolgor looks like a bipedal/humanoid German Shepherd Dog, complete with "furry dog breasts."[2][5] She wears a small heart locket with a dog paw print on it, and a Vietnam-era helmet with holes cut out for her ears.[2][6] Her enchanted flamethrower looks a little like a Ghostbusters-esque backpack, but is also part of her shirt; she has nothing on underneath it.[5]

Story
Fourth Floor: The Iron Tangle
Tserendolgor and her team partner with Meadow Lark and the Royal Court of Princess Donut at the end of the Fourth Floor Iron Tangle, and Ren joins Donut in the front line flamethrower squads against juvenile Krakaren. Donut immediately accuses Ren of being an experience hog; Carl takes one look at Ren, sees the issue, and tells Donut to leave her alone.[2]
Fifth Floor: The Bubbles
On the Fifth Floor, Ren's mountainous Bubble includes (160) crawlers and is solved by recovering gems and placing them into slots. With less than 3 Days 20 Hours remaining on the countdown timer, all crawlers are still alive and Ren is climbing the inside of the bubble wall to place the final gem (and pop the bubble) when Emberus appears. Emberus lingers outside her bubble, pounding on the wall and screaming that she's Orthrus; meanwhile, the world grows hotter and the mountains glow from the heat. She sends a desperate plea for help to Carl's group chat before retreating to a safe rooms.[7] Later, she reports that the interior doorknobs of her safe rooms are melting.[8]
With 3 Days 7 Hours remaining, Carl successfully draws Emberus away (by worshipping him). Ren reports that everything in her world melted, but they're going to pop their bubble and immediately retreat down the stairs. She received a Platinum Box containing an upgrade for her flamethrower.[9]
Sixth Floor: The Hunting Grounds
On the Sixth Floor, Ren is one of four crawlers invited to attend CrawlCon even though she is only ranked #54 in popularity.[10][11] As a gift for attending, she receives a pet Tummy Acher named Garret. She spends the rest of her time on the floor focused on gaining ratings; by the time of the Butcher's Masquerade, she is ranked #38 and able to enter Garret into the event's pet show, where she awkwardly explains how he tanks attacks and attracts missile-fire.[12][13]
After the final boss showdown, and Carl and Donut are officially appointed co-Warlords of the new Princess Posse Faction, Ren and Prepotente stand on either side of him as he tells the universe about his plans for the Ninth Floor Faction Wars. "In an astonishing show of solidarity, Donut jumped to the dog soldier's shoulder." The Syndicate mutes Carl's announcement just seconds before the "Pet Show Winner" trophy appears above Ren's head and Donut recoils in disgust.[14]
Eighth Floor: The Ghosts of Earth
After Donut and Carl arrive on the Eighth Floor and encounter Anton, Paz Lo, and Sister Ines, Ren reports that she has Paz in her chat and gives Carl a quick summary of the team.[15] Over the course of the first and second phases, she and her team consider joining one of several guilds (including Safehome Yolanda), and she helps Britney come to terms with her new scars.[3][16]
Ren loses all but two of her party members during the floor's second phase, and doesn't secure a key.[17] She, Khulan, and Chuluuna travel to Cuba to steal Sister Ines's key, but because they did not formally join Safehome Yolanda, they're caught in Carl's Teleport Traps. Khulan is teleported so far away that she isn't able to rejoin the team before Quan Ch arrives.[4] In the ensuing card battle between Quan, Ren's team, and Carl, Chuluuna is killed by one of Ren's totems and Donut (who is not in the area) receives both of Quan's keys. A system message announces that the stairwell will be rendered unusable in five minutes.[18]
Khulan returns in time to sob over her husband's body. Ren expects Khulan to commit suicide when she collects herself, and decides that it's time to tap out of the game using her self-destructing wrist brace; in fact, ending her crawl now is just one more way to say "fuck you" to the galaxy. Carl urges her to fight him for a key, and Ren tells him:
“I say this with love. You are an idiot. You can’t fight us. You can’t give your key to Imani. You have to save it for yourself. Do you remember when you flew that airplane to save our bubble on the fifth floor? And then when you killed all the hunters? That’s when I realized who you are. Don’t you understand? You’re more than just a person. If we lose you, we lose everything. You’re a symbol. You’re the embodiment of our hope. You and that fucking, annoying cat that everyone seems to like for some reason. You two bought a goddamned slot on Faction Wars. Everyone who remains can’t wait for the chance to fight someone real, someone actually responsible for all this. If you two don’t get down to the next floor, we all lose that. You can’t sacrifice yourself. And you know what? I know Imani thinks that, too. If you give her your key, she’s just going to try to give it back to you.”[19]
In an emotional scene, she and Khulan unload their inventories, including Velma the Flamethrower, rings, clothing, Eye in the Sky scrolls, and the Knife of Frozen Tears. She explains Garret's weaknesses before giving Garret to Carl as well. She tells Donut that she cheated at the pet show, and tells Carl: “You know, many of my people are afraid of cats. Some think if you look into their eyes, they can steal your soul. I hope that’s true. I hope she lives up to her hype.”[20]
Her last words are "Carl. Make them suffer." He promises, "“I will kill every last one of them. Every one... I goddamned swear it.”[21]
