Uptown Hal is a slate, which is an orange alien shaped like a piece of chewing gum. He was never a crawler, but was a game guide and occasional manager for 200 seasons before the crawl starting using ex-crawlers. He runs a talk show called Uptown Hal Talks Tactics. Carl meets him on the panel Crawling Through the Ages at CrawlCon!
