“I’m donating to the war effort. My flamethrower is named ‘Velma,’ by the way. I didn’t name it that.”[1]
Velma is Tserendolgor's enchanted flamethrower, which was upgraded once at the end of the Fifth Floor.[2] Part weapon and part breast plate, it looks like a Ghostbusters-esque backpack that also wraps around the wearer's torso like a shirt.[3]
By the conclusion of the Eighth Floor, Velma is in Carl's inventory.[4]
Trivia
- Tserendolgor notes that she did not give her flamethrower its name, suggesting that it may be sapient.
- "Velma" also appears in Matt Dinniman's previous LitRPG adventure, Kaiju: Battlefield Surgeon.
