“There are two great cancers in this once-beautiful, once-sacred land,” she said, “and with every breath left in me, I will cut both of them free. The Confederacy and the High Elves.” -- Tsarina Signet[1]

The Vengeance of the Daughter is a Syndicate drama serial set inside the Dungeon. It is created and produced by Sensation Entertainment Inc, and stars Elites including Tsarina Signet.

Book 2

Season One: The Third Floor

Signet, who would be a tsarina if she were pure-blooded, is the exiled daughter of the High Elf King Finian and a Naiad queen slain during the Naiad revolution.[2] When Signet's half-sister Princess Imogen ordered the execution of King Finian's bastard children, Signet joined Grimaldi's Traveling Circus and moved to the Over City. Signet survived Scolopendra's Nine-Tier Attack unchanged, but the rest of the circus were transformed into monsters. Now, she assaults the circus every night in the hopes of reaching Ringmaster Grimaldi and killing him, which would free the monsters.[2]

At least, that was the plan. She ended up recruiting a somewhat-known crawler named Carl to assist with the assault. Carl poisoned Grimaldi, then cured him, then ate an ice cream cone of parasites, and walked outside so Grimaldi and Signet could discuss their feelings. Grimaldi killed the parasites, setting the circus free, and Signet carried him down to the Hunting Grounds.[3]

Season Two: The Sixth Floor

SPOILERS FOR BOOK 5

Signet assembled a small team of allies before recruiting everyone's favorite guest stars, Carl and Donut, to help her seek vengeance for her mother's assassination by the Naiad Confederacy. The small team (including a new addition, Samantha) conquer Fort Freedom with relative ease, as the Naiad Confederacy was already crumbling.[4][5]

Now, Signet and co. turn their attention to the High Elves and Queen Imogen in the High Elf Castle. Signet resolves to infiltrate the Butcher's Masquerade.
